About the role
We are currently seeking a couple who are retail superstars to take on the running of one of ALPA’s stores in the NT. You will both be responsible for the successful operation of the store and train and develop your team to ensure the store is achieving KPI targets.

This position is based in a remote Aboriginal Community in the NT


Responsibilities
  • Develop a professional and positive relationship with the store’s Directors/committee members
  • Lead and develop your team to achieve success
  • Manage store sales and gross profits
  • Promote and support ALPA’s training policy and Indigenous employment
  • Build solid working relationships with key stakeholders and service providers in the community

Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Retail Management and/or Hospitality Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in forecasting, analysis and staff rostering
  • Strong track record in delivering results, implementing business strategy and continually driving outcomes with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate
  • Stock inventory control and management

About the Role - Townsville

As a Strikeforce Home Improvement Brand Activator, you will work within one of our Hardware Teams, VIS and or Projects Teams. 

Projects Team - merchandising, completing Relays/ Planograms & store Refits for our clients to a high standard. This involves removing stock, shelf adjustments, unpacking stock, placing the products in the correct allocated space by following the provided POG for compliance. A POG (Planogram) is a diagram that shows how and where specific retail Shelving & Products should be placed in store/on shelves.

VIS Team - Store Visits - Merchandising for our clients to a high standard.  This involves filling & tidying stock on shelves, checking tickets, discussing up and coming promotions, negotiating Off location displays and stock Levels.   

This role is a Physical one – you need to be Fit & Healthy

You will need to have a flexible approach as work schedules can change with short notice and travel outside the area maybe required on occasions.  

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Following Strict OH&S guidelines
  • Product Management (Stock levels/ Position/ Ticketing) in line with our client’s expectations
  • Planograms/ Relays - Executions & Compliance
  • Executing tasks, building displays, erecting Point-of-sale
  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with store personnel
  • Accurate reporting using Own Smart Device
  • Time Management Skills - The ability to work under pressure

Role Requirements

  • You will need to be over 18, have full Australian working rights
  • Live in the advertise area/ surrounding suburbs
  • Current State Drivers Licence & Reliable Road Worthy Vehicle
  • Physically fit – Bending & Lifting - Carrying stock (Max 16 kgs)
  • High Attention to detail & Strong planning skills
